Copyright / DMCA Policy
At Calcyfy, we respect the intellectual property rights of creators, developers, and organizations worldwide, and we expect the same from our users, contributors, and partners.
This page outlines how you can report alleged copyright infringement in compliance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and explains how you can request permission to reuse our original content or calculators. Even if you are outside the U.S., you may use this same process to report copyright concerns related to Calcyfy.
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy covers two areas:
Your Copyright:
If you believe that any text, images, charts, code snippets, or other content appearing on calcyfy.com has been published without your permission, you can file a DMCA takedown notice.
Our Copyright:
This section also explains how you may (or may not) reuse Calcyfy's original content, calculators, and designs.
2. How to Send a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that material hosted on Calcyfy infringes your copyright, please send a written notice containing all required details listed below. Incomplete notices may result in delays.
Your notice must include the following information (as required under 17 U.S.C. §512 of the DMCA):
- Your signature (physical or electronic).
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s) you claim has been infringed (a list if multiple).
- Identification of the infringing material on our website, including exact URLs so we can locate it.
- Your contact details: full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent, or the law.
- The following accuracy and authority statement:
"I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
Once received, Calcyfy will review your claim in good faith, and where appropriate, remove or disable access to the infringing material. We may also notify the user or contributor who posted the content, if applicable.
3. Counter-Notice (For Alleged Infringers)
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice.
Your counter-notice must include:
- Your signature (physical or electronic).
- Identification of the material removed and the URL where it previously appeared.
- Your contact information: full name, address, phone number, and email.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal or disabling was the result of a mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court in the judicial district where your address is located, or in San Francisco, California if outside the U.S., and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.
Once we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action to restrain restoration.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Calcyfy enforces a strict repeat-infringer policy. In appropriate cases, we may suspend, restrict, or terminate access for users who are repeatedly found to be infringing copyrights.
We also reserve the right to remove any content at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
