Our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and user trust in every calculator we build
At Calcyfy, our mission is to provide accurate, transparent, and user-friendly online calculators that simplify complex calculations across finance, tax, health, fitness, mathematics, and unit conversions. This Editorial Policy explains how we research, verify, build, review, and maintain every calculator and explanatory article we publish. It also outlines the principles that guide our work to ensure credibility, fairness, and reliability for our users.
At Calcyfy, we aim to:
Our editorial philosophy is grounded in trust, accessibility, and accountability.
We follow a strict hierarchy of trustworthy sources to ensure that every formula and rule we use is based on verifiable, up-to-date data:
Government agencies, statutes, standards, and regulatory bodies (e.g., RBI, MCA, SEBI, IRS, HMRC, WHO, CDC, NIST, BIS, ISO).
Academic journals, textbooks, and publications from recognized scientific and financial institutions.
Major universities, professional associations, or recognized industry experts.
Used only to provide context or examples, never as the basis for formulas or calculations.
Each calculator includes a Sources section with direct citations and links. We avoid paywalled or unverifiable data and always prefer the most current official documentation.
Every calculator on Calcyfy is created through a documented, multi-step workflow to ensure accuracy and transparency:
Compile official parameters, constants, and thresholds from trusted sources.
Define variables, constraints, edge cases, and default assumptions.
Document the mathematical expression precisely and label all variables and units.
Develop a pure, side-effect-free compute function using modern TypeScript for precision and consistency.
Perform unit and regression tests against official or independently verified examples.
Subject both content and code to editorial and subject-matter expert (SME) review.
Publish with a visible "Updated on" date and linked sources.
Details of our process are available on our How We Calculate page and Changelog.
Each calculator or content piece is reviewed according to its topic sensitivity and user impact, applying Google's Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) standards.
